Podcasts Coming Soon

podcast1

As a talk show host, it’s tough to keep your mouth shut month after month.  Podcasts are part of the plan with episodes easy to access and download so you can listen anytime you want.  There’s a benefit for you, listening at your convenience and a benefit for me as I don’t have to get up Saturday mornings at 5am.

I do look forward to spending time with you again.

“Stand by,” as they say in the biz.  I’ll let you know when we’ll be broadcasting podcasting again.

Please make sure to tell your friends.

A voice of simple, yet on the money, common sense.

Looking forward to the podcast. I am thinking of buying a standalone AM and using it as the go to source for all things local in a college market of some 30,000. The city is growing, and is a tourist spot in the summer.
But, I’m an amateur in that while I worked in radio, Darryl, never owned one.

My vision is make the station the information news central for this entire community: all the other stations are FM music, the local newspaper is virtually dead, and being in a mountainous region with 5 kw, I think AM’s signal is really the best. With a highly rated university journalism school, hire some of the brightest kids to be stringers, along with a seasoned veteran newscaster to supervise. This would be a third career for me, and therefore somewhat dangerous. I know what I don’t know, which is a lot. We’ll see, but I am going to be listening to you to learn before I take this step.

    With kindest regards,

Mark, best of luck with your project! AM’s can be viable facilities. I’ve programmed them most of my career. Please let know if you need help or an ear for advice. Have a great weekend. Darryl

Excellent idea, depending on the facility. What happens to the signal at sunset?
A truly local radio station. What a concept!
      Good luck

Cast some pods. We will listen. You can’t be any worse than Rocky Boiman.

Well that’s true! But, he’s got a great resume when it comes to his athletic career. And I plan on it.
